Orville Fugate

U.S. Veteran

Orville Fugate, 69, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born in Hazard, Kentucky on February 12, 1943, son of the late John M. and Olivia Napier Fugate. He was an asphalt plant laborer for Mago Construction Co. in Bardstown, KY and of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by two brothers, Adam Fugate and Sammy Fugate, two sisters, Elizabeth Fugate Sweet and Martha Fugate Cooper, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jessie Fugate and two sisters, Nancy Lee Fugate Jones and Eva Fugate Trimble.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, December 3, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Haynes officiating.

Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38.

Visitation will be after 11 AM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
